Traveller stories are first-hand accounts that help the next visitor. Every story is read by an ATIS editor before it appears.

Sign in and make sure you have a profile. If you do not, see Set up your public profile.
Open Stories and select Write a story.
Give your story a plain Title that says where and when, for example "Four days in the Bamyan valley".
Write Your story, between 200 and 20,000 characters. Your line breaks are kept.
Fill in When did you travel? and, under Where was this?, the province your story belongs to.
Add photos if you like. For each photo, say whether anyone in it can be recognised, and accept the rights agreement. See Add photos and the photo rights agreement.
Select Submit story.

What we publish

Your own trip, in your own words and photos.
Practical detail: what it cost, how long it took, what surprised you.
No phone numbers, addresses, or links to businesses. Those live on the business pages.
No promotion of a business you own or work for.

Good to know

An editor reads your story, usually within a week.
When it is published, it appears under your name on the province page and in Stories, and we send you a message. If your profile is Private, the story shows "ATIS contributor" instead of your name.
Your submitted stories are listed under My stories in your account menu.
You cannot edit a story after it is published. To ask for a correction, use Report a problem with this page on the story.
Location data and camera details are removed from every photo before it is stored.
