Book an ATIS trip

ATIS trips are private trips that ATIS sells and arranges itself: every part is defined and priced, and you pay ATIS. A trip page says Operated by ATIS. It is not a directory listing. You find trips under Travel with ATIS in Plan, and through Book this as an ATIS trip on an itinerary that a trip is based on.

1. Open the trip page. Read the Day by day plan, what is included and not included, the Prices for your party size, the Extras, and how far ahead you must book.
2. Select Request this trip, and sign in if you are asked to.
3. Choose a Start date. It must be at least the number of days ahead that the trip page shows.
4. Under Travellers, add one entry for each person: full name as in the passport, nationality, passport number and expiry, date of birth, an emergency contact, and a Visa arrangement.
5. Choose any extras, and check Your price.
6. Tick "I accept the booking terms and the cancellation and refund policy." and select Send the booking request.
7. Keep your booking reference, which starts with T-. Your booking is in My trips.

What happens next

• We check the dates, the route, and the people who will look after you.
• We confirm the booking and send the deposit invoice. Nothing is due before that. See Deposits and balance payments.
• To pay, you contact us on WhatsApp or by email and quote your booking reference. The links are on your booking page, with the reference already filled in.
• The balance falls due before the trip. Everything is in My trips.

Group departures

• Some trips also have Group departures: fixed dates you join with other travellers, at a price per person shown for each date.
• Select Request seats beside a date, then fill in your party and travellers as above. There is no start date to choose.
• Your seats are held while we check your request: currently 48 hours (Owner to confirm). If we have not confirmed by then, the hold ends, and we confirm your request only if seats are still free.
• A departure is Guaranteed once enough travellers have booked, and we tell you when that happens. If a departure has to be cancelled, we tell you and offer another date or a refund.

Good to know

• Your price is fixed when you book. It never changes afterwards, even if trip prices or exchange rates change.
• Prices are per person, by the size of your party (1, 2, 3 to 4, or 5 to 8 travellers), in US dollars. A traveller alone may pay a single supplement.
• For a group larger than the trip allows, or a different route, see Request a tailor-made trip.
• Some routes include a required extra, such as a security escort. The trip page shows it as Included on this route.
• Passport details are encrypted, seen only by the ATIS staff who arrange your trip, and deleted some months after the trip ends (Owner to confirm: currently six months).
• Trips can be booked only once the booking terms and the refund policy are published.
